"Where do I park?"
There is a new public parking garage directly south of our building. The charge to park there is VERY reasonable and there are always spots available. To enter the garage: The first light south of Lake Street on Oak Park Avenue is named North Boulevard. Go east on North Boulevard (it's a one way so that is the only way you can go). The entrance is about 50 yards from the intersection of Oak Park Avenue and North Boulevard. You can park there for an unlimited amount of time.

"Do I need my X-rays and old records?"
You don't have to bring your actual x-rays but rather the x-ray report if you feel it would be helpful for the doctor to see. Results of recent lab work done in the last six months is also helpful to prevent repetition.

"Will I be expected to pay on the date of my appointment?"
Payment is due at the time of service. CMRS accepts cash, personal checks, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. Click here for billing policies.

"Is CMRS part of any insurance networks?"
We are NOT a part of any insurance networks. Caring Medical will provide patients with detailed invoice that they can submit to their insurance company for possible reimbursement. The invoice will be marked asking the insurance company to send any reimbursement directly to the patient. If the insurance company inadvertently sends the payment to Caring Medical, we will promptly reimburse the patient in the form of a check. CMRS cannot however, guarantee any insurance reimbursements. Some of the services at CMRS are NOT billable to any insurance company.

"How long should I plan to stay? " This depends upon what type of treatment you are coming to the clinic for. Most Prolotherapy appointments should plan to be here for approximately 1-2 hours. If you are scheduled to have Hauser Diet Typing, please read more about the process here

"Will I get Prolotherapy on the first visit?"
If the reason you are coming to Caring Medical is to receive Prolotherapy you will receive it, provided that your body can physically handle it. If the doctor feels that your general health is too poor, he may suggest certain laboratory testing first.

"Can I drive after Prolotherapy?"
Yes, driving is not a problem after you receive Prolotherapy. You will feel a little stiff, but mobility is not limited. In fact, some movement is helpful after Prolotherapy.

"Can I work the same day as Prolotherapy?"
Yes, you will be capable of working after Prolotherapy for most jobs. You may not want to work if your work involves standing all day or heavy lifting.

"Where is the closest airport?"
Caring Medical is located approximately 40 minutes from both Midway and O'Hare airports. Both are easily accessible by taxi and/or rent-a-car. Click here to see numbers for travel.

"Are there places to eat nearby?"
Caring Medical is close to many restaurants that serve just about anything you could be craving. Within just a couple of blocks of the clinic you will find a diner, café/salad bar, Italian food, Greek food, Thai food, stirfry, grill, and a hamburger and fries place. Click here to view local dining in Oak Park.

"Do I need to fast?"
Fasting is only required for certain lab tests. Fasting is required for 12-15 hours before those appointments, with the exception of water. For those patients coming first thing in the morning, eat nothing after dinner the night before your appointment.
