We love making Indian food at home and we all know that the best thing for homemade Indian is homemade naan! This is super easy to make and doesn’t have 500 ingredients!

What you need:

  • 6 cups flour (if you use self rising flour, omit the yeast)
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp instant yeast
  • 2 cups warm water (add slowly)
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/4 cup EVOO or melted butter
  • additional toppings: melted butter, garlic, chopped cilantro

What to do:

Combine the flour, salt, sugar, and yeast. Add warm water, yogurt, and oil. Mix until a soft dough forms. Knead 8-10 minutes until smooth. Cover and let it rise for 1 to 1.5 hours until it has doubled. Split into 20-25 balls and roll each into oval or round shapes. In a heated and oiled cast iron pain, cook each naan for about 1-2 minutes per side until bubbles and brown spots form. Brush with butter and garlic – serve with our favorite Chicken Tikka Masala!
