November is just a few days away, which means the holidays are right around the corner, and we are fully aware of the chaos that comes with the holiday season!
We absolutely love getting together with friends and family, hosting and doing all the things… but that often comes with feeling rushed, over-scheduled, and added stress. So, how can we combat those feelings?
Here are a few things that we are doing – starting now to ensure that we can limit the chaos during the holiday season!
- Set realistic expectations to minimize stress – yes, it’s awesome to have these extravagant parties, but the most important thing is the time we spend together. Set realistic expectations for your gatherings!
- Help! – Limit your stress by giving some responsibility to other people! You don’t HAVE to do it all (although you may want to). Your friends are more willing to help than you might think!
- Move your body – Get regular exercise to boost your energy levels and reduce holiday-related fatigue, even if it’s a quick walk after dinner, we promise your body will appreciate it!
- Prayer and grace – take some time for yourself to pray and give yourself grace when you can’t get to everything you were expecting to!
